Lavender Aged Dark Balsamic Vinegar
Lavender has been used as an herb for over 2,500 years. It was first used by the Egyptians, then introduced by trade to Greece, and spread from Greece into central Europe. This dark balsamic is tart and floral, but not overwhelming. Use to add herbaceous notes to lemon-braised chicken, fresh bruschetta, spinach salads, and cheese plates, especially with sheep or goat's milk cheeses. Also delicious on desserts: reduce and drizzle on ice cream, cupcakes, or fresh berries.
