2019 𝖭º 𝟫 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa
♞ Wild Sage ♜ Black Cherry ♛ Clove ♝
Vineyard: Three Atlas Peak vineyards were sourced for this wine. All vineyards sit high above the Napa Valley on sloped, rocky hillsides. Soils are volcanic and alluvial gravely loam.
Vintage: Northern California experienced another cool and wet winter which kept the vines dormant through late March/Early April. The springtime brought a mix of heat spells followed by cool and wet weather. Our initial predictions were for a later harvest, but the warm summer months hastened the growing cycle of the vines. Harvest started for us August 14th with Rose of Pinot noir and ended with our Atlas West Cabernet Sauvignon in mid-October.
Cellar: Harvested on October 1st and 2nd 2019. Grapes were destemmed and fermented on their skins for 25 days before pressing. The wine aged in French oak barrels for 17 months before bottling.
